I started to shoot photos in the age of twenty, first just for pleasure, later, as I found out I can not live without it, also for living. I like to think of myself as a commercially oriented artistic photographer and that is because – apart from my digital work I also take photos on classical bw film, develop films and photos in a darkroom and exhibit my works in galleries. Weddings have an important place in my work and that is not only because every bride and groom look their best, but also because wedding day is usually very full of feelings. I see love, laughter, tears of happiness, expectations (and I do not mean the physical ones here), hopes and dreams and of course…who would not love to take photos of that. Every couple is different and unique, I like to observe them and create for them photos as exceptional as their relationship is.

Weddings are magical! They’re also cheerful, sometimes a little bit stressful and chaotic ☺. My desire is to capture these moments, big and small, unique and full of emotion. Those moments form the beautiful and personal story of your wedding day. Years of professional wedding photography learn me to always be on time at the right place and can handle any situation. I hope when you will look back at your photos, you not only be brought back to the moments of that joyful day, but also be reminded of how it felt, how you love each other.
Tomáš Bican
Born in Prague April 20th 1973, studied photography at the Prague School of Photography, graduating in 1996. Since then I have been working as a freelance photographer. For the past 20 years, I have held over 30 exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad and have received awards in Czech Press Photo and Prague Photographic competitions. Besides my own creations and work on personal projects, I have also done commercial photography, especially photo-reports for magazines and newspapers, portraits and wedding photographs. For the past 8 years, when I was concentrating on wedding photography, I developed a distinctive and characteristic creative style. I focus on capturing the spontaneous and natural moments that really characterise the unique atmosphere of this special event.

I love photography for its diversity and freedom - moments of love, joy, victory but also those of every day life. My individual approach and full dedication help me to capture the uniqueness of each personality and fully reflects clients wishes.
This year I became a member of two prestigious internation wedding photographers associations – The Wedding Photojournalist Association and Wedding & Portrait Photographers International.
I often hear from my clients, how I help them feel relaxed, support them constantly and make them enjoy not just the photo session as much as I do. I am everywhere but at the same time you dont realize I am there.

A photographer for over 15 years. My early experiences came from assisting all kinds of photographers in London which gave me a broad scope of knowledge. Over the last decade my work has focused more on the events and wedding photography area, with shoots taking me to all sorts of locations worldwide and at any size of occasion. Whether it be a birthday celebration in Barbados, an engagement announcement on a rooftop in Rome or a Royal wedding at Windsor castle, I have had plenty of interesting events to cover! I moved over to Central Europe recently to seek a new challenge both personally and professionally. It has offered a different view through the lens which I am learning to really appreciate, whether it be historical Prague or the beautiful countryside in both Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The heart and the mind are the true lens of the camera. Wedding photography is both my professional job as well as deep and abiding passion. I have a wide range of experiences with weddings both local and abroad. Apart from wedding photography, I specialize in portraits of famous and popular personages. Some notable achievements include photo commissions for Cartier and twice for Czech Republic presidents (2012 Inter-Continental & 2014 Savoy). Also for a fashion designer I created a portfolio of photographs with which she won second prize in Vogue's Call for Talents. I look forward to capturing and highlighting the many memorable moments of your special day and will strive my utmost to create for you photographs of both beauty and lasting value.
