Konopiste Castle
Konopiste castle was founded by the Benesovec family in the forested region of the valley of the River Sazava in the year 1300. It is an excellent later period example of the type of medieval fortification architecture represented by the French conception of a castle, a wholly unique building in this country. Its rectangular ground plan was divided into a larger outer bailey in the west and the inner castle located in the eastern part. Seven round towers lined the periphery of the fortification walls. After 1500 the residential palace wing was modified. In the early 17th century the outer bailey was adapted in Renaissance style. A radical change in the appearance of the castle came about at the end of the first quarter of the 18th century, when Konopiste was converted into a Baroque chateau after a design by Kanka. Its towers were lowered at the same time. The final chapter of the buildings architectural history is connected with the name Franz Ferdinand d'Est.

- Capacity of the Chapel is ideally for 50 people, with a maximum of 70, and benches to seat 50 guests
- Only one wedding per week is permitted at Castle Chapel
- Weddings in the Castle Chapel are possible Monday - Friday, with a ceremony time of 12:15 pm
Ceremony Hall
- Civil, Protestant, or Blessing Weddings
- Civil Weddings possible 2 Saturdays and 1 Friday per month (please inquire)
- Protestant and Blessing Weddings possible Monday - Saturday (except for the Civil Wedding Days mentioned above)
- Package does not include costs for obtaining documents required from client before the wedding (Birth Certificate - No impediment to marry). Each nationality is different - for details please contact us.
- Additional fee applies to divorced persons or those who have legally changed their name during the course of their life.

- Prices are valid for U.S., Irish and British citizens. All others please enquire for additional costs that might be required for extra paperwork.
- It is necessary for the bride and groom to arrive in Prague 2 -3 working days prior to the wedding day for civil ceremonies and 3 days for church ceremonies to visit local offices and finish up paperwork. For exceptions please enquire.
